  1. Mary I love your card! I love the pot bellied stove. My dad had one in his garage and it was nice to pop in and talk to dad around the warm stove. I just ordered your stamp set today that has that sentiment. I can't wait to use them. TFS

  2. That sure brings back memories. When we traveleld to see my Mother's parents we would sit by Granny's stove in their two room house where they raised four children. We were city kids so thought that stove was really neat. Your card is wonderful Mary.

  9. I love, love this card Mary!! It takes me back to my days of sitting and reading with my feet propped up on my Grandmother's old cook stove. It was so toasy and warm, but like you said the back side of you was freezing!! lol Now I go down to our basement and warm up by the corn stove!! It reminds me of the potbellied and cookstoves. It heats our whole house, but of course sometimes you just want the nice toasty warmth by standing in front of it. lol Great card and I am looking forward to the other 10!!!

  11. Adorable Mary! I love the story too. We have a very small wood stove at home and at the cabin and you are so right your front is nice and toasty while your back is cold.
    Have a wonderful weekend

  18. I love this card Mary! I have the Country Life cart, but haven't opened it yet because I keep thinking "What did I want this one for?" Now I might have to open it and look at it with fresh eyes. I love the way your cards are so unique. I would never have thought to use a pot-belly stove for a Christmas card! BTW, back in the 70's I lived in a house that only had the pot-belly stove for heat. Even before you said your front was warm and your back was cold, I was remembering that! Not funny at the time, LOL!
