Hi guys! In today's video, I'll show you how I made a box card, or card in a box...without using my Silhouette! It was so much fun, and so easy! I used Cricut Designer's Calendar, and Cardz TV Stamps "St Patrick's Day" for the sentiments. Thanks for watching...hope you like it...give it a try!

Mary, you can stamp a sentiment by folding your box flat and then stamping on the back..Love your videos ...cute popup box. Thanks for the measurements.

1st try I had it upside down; as in the flaps were bigger part so that was an oops. 2nd try worked. I made 2nd out of white just like 1st. When I saw that I got it right on 2nd try I made one using green cardstock. Her, I have core'dinations cardstock: Clover, Leprechaun & Shamrock. How appropriate. Have the Designer Calendar Cricut cartridge so I used it to cut the Shamrocks. Used a Shamrock pattern paper for flaps and using a grass pattern for sides. I'll finish and enter & then you can see how it looks. I'm going to make another and send one to my daughter for St. Patrick's Day.

I love your sweet shamrock box cards and I love making box cards! I made several for Valentine's day. Such a fun card for someone to receive and the best part is that it folds flat to mail.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just want to tell you about my thrift store haul today, I purchased two big boxes of envelopes, one A-2 and one A-6 each holding 250 envelopes for 1.99 each. Woo Hoo! That's 500 envelopes, and the flaps are loose and not glued down.

ReplyDeleteOne of your blog hops had made a box to put cards in, that unfolded and was used on both sides. She said she used a small magnet to hold it together, would you have any idea where she bought them? I have never seen them and would love to have some. Love your box card, since you made yours, lots of other crafters have put them in the web.....but yours has the best directions:)
