It is a tradition that I grew up with and will continue now that I am an adult. There is nothing more special that being with family. (But the food is so good too!)

Really beautiful card! I love the colors together. I just love spending the time with my family. I host Christmas every year at my house- so it is always a themed menu and games- my son comes from Colorado and my sister and family come from California. My Daughter lives here with her husband and my granddaughter, who is 21 months. I just enjoy being together- there are usually about 18 of us at my house- great fun!

Every night we read a scripture a short story and sing a Christmas Hymn. It really gets us in the spirt for that blessed Christmas Eve!

Mary, Your card is beautiful. I think my favorite thing about Christmas is getting my kids new pj's that they get to unwrap on Christmas Eve. My parents used to do the same thing for us on Christmas Eve and even though you knew what it was already going to be, it was fun to see what Mom and Dad had picked out for us. I try to do the same thing with my kids. I don't just walk in and grab the first pair I see. I spend a lot of time looking for just the right thing. My oldest son is getting Oscar the grouch pj pants and a Oscar t-shirt. My oldest daughter in getting cookie monster pj's. (He's 22 and she's 20 years old) My husband and youngest son are getting a matching pair and my littlest girl and my beautiful daughter-in-law are getting matching hello kitty pj's. Mary: Just a beautiful card. I love this color combo. I have never seen this cartridge. Quite unique. Love the dove. It has a nice shape and easy to cut. I am a nurse, so just being off for Christmas is a blessing. Last year was the first time in over 20 years I was off for Christmas day. My brother in law is a doctor. My family actually celebrates on Christmas eve just because we are both usually working on Christmas. Cute card! Our favorite thing about Christmas is we pull out a video of past Christmas' and we sit and watch while we have our Christmas breakfast. Sitting as a family and watching how time has gone by with everyone grown up and seeing our reactions at the various gifts is such a great time to spend with family and also we all get to share in the memories at the same time.

My favorite thing about Christmas is the birthday party we used to do for Jesus with the neighborhood kids. The gal I used to do it with moved away and I need to start up my own party, possibly with the kids I do crafts with at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post under our Ladies Auxiliary. We used to sing happy birthday to Jesus, have cake and ice cream and then do carols. The neighborhood kids loved it!

There are so many great things about Christmas, it's hard to pick a favorite. The first theing that comes to mind is carrying on the traditions that I grew up with. It's fun to pass those things on to my son with the hopes that one day he'll pass those same traditions on to his family!

I am of Scandanavian heritage, but no matter what, this has beautiful images for Christmas. My favorite tradition is gathering my 10 grandchildren around me (w/adults present)and reading some version of the Christmas story to them and singin a Christmas song together followed by their opening of presents.

My favorite thing about Christmas would have to be sitting around with my family and talking about all the past Christmases we've had together. All the Christmas mishaps we've shared together gets us all laughing so hard our sides hurt!

Such a simple but elegant card, very pretty. My favorite thing at Christmas time is my Mom's cut out sugar cookies. Every year when I was young she would start baking them early and put them in the freezer unfrosted thinking she was collecting quite a stash. When my Dad would come home from work he would sneak down and get some for all of us(I have 5 siblings). The next time she would bake a batch and go down to the freezer she would see we had been sneaking them. That poor woman made hundreds of cookies every year.

Thank you for explaining how that cartridge works. :) My favorite thing about Christmas is the feelings it brings. There is nothing like a candle light service at church, nor the memories the songs of the season stir up. Our home is full of excitement yet at the same time there is peace. The kids are joyfull and expectant, but also awed that God would send a Saviour as a baby. I love the feelings that Christmas brings. (except stress. lol)

Loved the card! My favorite thing about Christmas is being with my family....I'm blessed to still have both my parents who are 81 years young! I come from a very large family and when we all get together to celebrate it's very loud and crazy but I love it!
Beautiful Creation. I love the dove. I’ve looked at this cart picked up and put it down. I love it and the stamps set you used to go with the cart. My fav part about Christmas is looking at the old Christmas cartoons with hot coco, apple cider or coffee with my kids after decorating the tree.

ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful. I think my favorite thing about Christmas is getting my kids new pj's that they get to unwrap on Christmas Eve. My parents used to do the same thing for us on Christmas Eve and even though you knew what it was already going to be, it was fun to see what Mom and Dad had picked out for us. I try to do the same thing with my kids. I don't just walk in and grab the first pair I see. I spend a lot of time looking for just the right thing. My oldest son is getting Oscar the grouch pj pants and a Oscar t-shirt. My oldest daughter in getting cookie monster pj's. (He's 22 and she's 20 years old) My husband and youngest son are getting a matching pair and my littlest girl and my beautiful daughter-in-law are getting matching hello kitty pj's. I am a nurse, so just being off for Christmas is a blessing. Last year was the first time in over 20 years I was off for Christmas day. My brother in law is a doctor. My family actually celebrates on Christmas eve just because we are both usually working on Christmas. We love all the traditions our family has made over the years.... baking cookies, driving around looking at Christmas lights, shopping, visiting with friends and family.... I love it all.

Cute card! Our favorite thing about Christmas is we pull out a video of past Christmas' and we sit and watch while we have our Christmas breakfast. Sitting as a family and watching how time has gone by with everyone grown up and seeing our reactions at the various gifts is such a great time to spend with family and also we all get to share in the memories at the same time.

My grandma put up her silver tree every year with the color wheel that rotated. It was beautiful. My grandparents were the glue that held our family together. I miss them....but have wonderful memories.

There are many things I like about the holidays. The most is the gathering of family I haven't seen for a long time. The Christmas tree keeps a smile on my face once it's up. I could sit looking at it for hours.

The gal I used to do it with moved away and I need to start up my own party, possibly with the kids I do crafts with at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post under our Ladies Auxiliary. We used to sing happy birthday to Jesus, have cake and ice cream and then do carols. The neighborhood kids loved it!

I love this card Mary!! I think I have found my card to mass produce! lol I will have to use a dove from another cart as I don't have this one. My favorite thing about Christmas is Midnight Mass, I just love the feeling of going to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Although we don't go every year because it is so hard to stay up to go, it's not the same when we don't go at midnight and go on Christmas morning.

I saw this cart on the Cricut website this past week when ordering another cartridge, but couldn't see exactly what was included---now I'm so anxious to get it. I am of Scandanavian heritage, but no matter what, this has beautiful images for Christmas. My favorite tradition is gathering my 10 grandchildren around me (w/adults present)and reading some version of the Christmas story to them and singin a Christmas song together followed by their opening of presents.

Such a simple but elegant card, very pretty. My favorite thing at Christmas time is my Mom's cut out sugar cookies. Every year when I was young she would start baking them early and put them in the freezer unfrosted thinking she was collecting quite a stash. When my Dad would come home from work he would sneak down and get some for all of us(I have 5 siblings). The next time she would bake a batch and go down to the freezer she would see we had been sneaking them. That poor woman made hundreds of cookies every year.

There is nothing like a candle light service at church, nor the memories the songs of the season stir up. Our home is full of excitement yet at the same time there is peace. The kids are joyfull and expectant, but also awed that God would send a Saviour as a baby. I love the feelings that Christmas brings. (except stress. lol)

Beautiful Creation. I love the dove. I’ve looked at this cart picked up and put it down. I love it and the stamps set you used to go with the cart. My fav part about Christmas is looking at the old Christmas cartoons with hot coco, apple cider or coffee with my kids after decorating the tree.

All of your cards are so wonderful it would be hard to pick my favorite. Your blog is the firts one I check when I get home from work everyday, I can't wait to see what you have posted new. My favorite thing about Christmas is spending it with family and friends. My husband retired a year ago from the military so many years we weren't able to be with family we still aren't close to home so it is even more special when we can all get together for those special holidays. ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about Christmas is seeing all the wonder and excitement and anticipation in my children's eyes. I love to reflect of how thing must have been for Mary and Joseph...I think we make it glorified but I'll bet it was awful for Mary.

Would love to get the Scandinavian cartridge..We always spent Christmas Eve at our Norweigen Grandparents..

My very favorite thing about Christmas is getting ready for it -- all the decorating, trimming the tree, setting up our trains and displays, making Cricut decorations and gifts for my family and friends, and then cooking the Christmas dinner. I guess I just love it all!!
