Enjoyed the garden video. We have a garden also. Hubby built a greenhouse last yr. He also installed drip irrigation and since we do not have much rain lately it waters itself once a day. Inside the greenhouse we are growing: tomatoes (cherry, grape & Celebrity), peppers, red romaine lettuce & some herbs. Outside the greenhouse we are growing: cucumbers (have picked 5 already & hubby made some cucumber with oil & vinegar yesterday) , more herbs, strawberries, red onions. We had red potatoes but they are finished growing and I enjoyed roasting them and even making potato salad. Saw there was a white butterfly that flitted by during your video filming. The white butterflies are the harmful ones that lay their eggs and then the green caterpillars munch on the plants. We have critters like birds, rabbits, squirrels & rats that were a problem until we built the greenhouse. They do not bother the things growing outside the greenhouse. I like to roast the tomatoes. I also share with neighbors. Like your sweet looking dog. We had to put out dog, Teddy, down May 2 and I miss him. In the Fall we are going to rescue another dog but not getting a puppy; rather have a 1-2+ yr old dog and want a female this time. Melissa "Sunshine HoneyBee"
Fabulous video Wayne!! Love the garden tour! Johnnie planted 152 tomato plants. Two died. He is right this minute washing the tomatoes he picked today. He counts them as he picks them. Todays total is 493. Most of these are going to my Mom. When he gets the okra and squash washed. I'll cut them and freeze them. And the work on the green beans he picked. I love Johnnie's garden!! Sophie is so pretty!! T-Bone loves raw beans, too. Last year Johnnie got up from the table when he was shelling peas and T-Bone knocked the bowl into the floor and was eating them when he came back!! :)
Wow, now we get to see Wayne too. Loved the video. I am impressed with how weed free your garden is. You can tell you both spend lots of time with it. Sophie is so cute!! Diana
How PRECIOUS!!!! Wayne is a good sport taking time to share the garden! Boy, would I love to have a few fresh tomatoes (when they are ripe)!! Thanks so much for sharing your talent and you life with us!!!
What a great vlog video Wayne is a natural whether it's behind the camera or in front of it and the two of you are just such a sweet couple you are truly what life is all about enjoying each other and sharing in the hobbies. The farm garden tour was so interesting and Wayne sure had my mouth watering talking about all the good dishes you prepare from it's reap. I really look forward to your vlog videos they are so much fun.
Thanks for the tour of your garden. We have a small raised bed garden, about 4 x 8 and we just love home grown tomatoes. We have just tomatoes, some peppers, mint and one okra plant just for fun. Love getting to know Mary better. Hugs to Sophie!
Perfect timing for a tour of Wayne's garden! I'm going to our local farmer's market today ! I grew up with a garden but now I depend upon the hard working farmers around Norman. Thanks, Martha
Loved seeing this. We, too, have a large vegetable garden - here in MI. Actually in raised beds in our large 1/2 acre yard. Hubby does most of the work in it, like Wayne, and he helps with the canning, too. I do the freezing. But my hubby does not cook! Wish he did, but glad he helps out in the canning. We have tomatoes, beans, peas, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers. It was great to see Wayne and Sophie in person! Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Enjoyed the video and seeing you, Wayne and Sophie. The tomatoes and cabbage look great. We also need rain in the part of Georgia where I live. Thank you for sharing.
Tell Wayne I loved seeing his garden! He is a natural with the camera. Loved seeing Sophie and you of course too! Super video! Will pray for rain for you all.
Mary I love your vlog.. I hear about Wayne and Sophie all the time and now I've met them. No wonder you talk about them all the time. Really nice people including Sophie. I just love your garden and home grown food is always the best. It tastes the best too. My dad grew oranges and they were the sweetest naval s. Tree ripened.. We just lost our dog Benny a pug dog of 15 yrs. We had him since 6 weeks. He was our baby and we miss him dearly . So give Sophie a big hug for us. I know you love Sophie the way we love Benny. Thanks for the tour Wayne we loved your garden. pat
PS..I forgot to mention that here in California we are having a real serious drought. So we all need to pray for rain. The whole country needs it. They are passing rules that will fine anyone who is wasting water. pat
What a great family video. Loved it. I can't believe how long Sophie's hair is. It's beautiful.
